It's June 1st which means it's Pride Month!
Pride Month is a special time of year for so many people, especially right now. 2023 has seen a record amount of anti-LGBTQ+ legislation. The existence of our queer and trans family and friends has been constantly attacked this year for merely existing. Pride Month is an incredibly important time to educate yourself on where the celebration comes from and to seek out ways to help and support our community!
What does it mean to be an ally to the LGBTQ+ community?
Educate yourself on the vast spectrum that is gender identity and sexual orientation.
Integrate inclusive language into your daily vernacular.
Vote for legislatures who fight for LGBTQ+ equality.
Donate to LGBTQ+ organizations.
Stand up for LGBTQ+ issues in every aspect of your life, even when there is no one from the LGBTQ+ community with you!
Do all of these things all year! Not just during Pride Month!
